Perfect Strangers

We each compliment our curls
The way women complement their shoes.

We ask each other what products we use,
and what methods works best.

We smile to each other.

and just like that
quietly walk past each other.
Back to reality.
Back to being perfect strangers.

As if we didn’t just exchange a few words of gratitude
As if we didn’t just observe and appreciate each others beauty
As if what we did was tabooed by society

at last..
We remained perfect strangers.
